What People Earn: Salaries and Compensation for Financial Institutions in Dallas and Houston

BalancedComp, the leader in compensation design for the financial industry, is excited to share a sneak-peek into average annual paychecks of people across the country who work at banks and credit unions, with specific numbers available from Dallas and Houston.

While Houston enjoys a lower cost of living than Dallas, exempt jobs are paid 5% higher. While these salaries represent the midpoint of the salary range, many banks and credit unions in these two markets would tag their midpoints at the 60th percentile because of direct competition with larger financial institutions. The maximum end of the salary range is generally 20% higher than the national average in these cities, and the minimum end of the range is about 20% lower.

With the impact of COVID-19 on financial institutions still unfolding, we’re here to help. At BalancedComp we monitor and advise clients on how the industry changes year by year, and sometimes, week by week.

If you need your organization’s salary ranges updated for your specific market and asset size, call us at (317) 927-2668.

Thanks to our annual salary survey, we’re able to provide you valuable insight into compensation in your industry. Your input creates powerful data to improve compensation and incentive plans across the country.
